Being an IT student for a certain certification exam, most of the students are concerned are with two things 1) The subject knowledge 2) Success in certification exams in first attempt.
While there are students who are either too much obsessed for subject knowledge or success in exams, but most general decent students needs balance, they study hard to gain knowledge but they surely do not want to attempt exams over and over again.

Because if he does not do this his peers, who may have prepared less than him, might get successful in exams.
